Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
