Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
