Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 But when sight is confounded 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
