Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
