Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
