Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
