Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
