Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
