Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
