Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
