Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
