Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
