Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon darkens 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
