Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
