Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
