Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though they make excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
