Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
