Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
