Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
