Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
