Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
