[Useless, though, will be his repentance: for [as long as he was alive] he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray [for enlightenment,] 31 but, on the contrary, he gave the lie to the truth and turned away [from it,] 32 Then he went off to his people, swaggering. 33 Woe to you! 34 Again (consider how) nearer to you and nearer. 35 Does man, then, think that he is to be left to himself, to go about at will? 36 Was he not once a drop of ejaculated semen, 37 Then he was a blood-clot, and He created and formed, 38 fashioning out of him the two sexes, the male and the female? 39 Is not He (Allah Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things). 40
