The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned? 1 Verily We created man from a sperm yoked (to the ovum) to bring out his real substance, then gave him hearing and sight. 2 Verily We! We shewed him the way; then he becometh either thankful or ingrate. 3 Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. 4 Surely the pious shall drink of a cup whose mixture is camphor, 5 The Kafoor is a spring, from which the chosen bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to flow wherever they wish inside their palaces. 6 They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. 7 And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 8 "We only feed you for the sake of God and we do not want any reward or thanks from you. 9 we fear from our Lord a Day that shall be long and distressful.” 10 Wherefore Allah shall preserve them from the evil of that Day, and shall cause them to meet brightness and joy. 11 And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. 12 Reclining there upon couches, they shall see neither the sun nor the moon. 13 the shading branches of trees will come down low over them, and their clusters of fruit, will hang down where they are the easiest to reach. 14 And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and cups of crystal, 15 and gleaming silver goblets which have been filled to the exact measure, 16 They will drink cups containing (soft flowing) sparkling water 17 [derived from] a source [to be found] therein, whose name is "Seek Thy Way". 18 ۞ There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls. 19 If you were to see it, you would find it to be a great kingdom with great bounty. 20 they will wear green garments of fine silk and rich brocade. They will be adorned with silver bracelets. And their Lord will give them a pure drink. 21 This is your reward. Your endeavour is fully acknowledged. 22
