In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered? 1 Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer. 2 We have indeed shown him the way – whether he is grateful or ingrate. 3 Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains, fetters, and a Blaze. 4 But the righteous shall drink of a goblet mixed with camphor; 5 a fountain at which the worshipers of Allah drink and make it gush forth abundantly; 6 they who keep their vows and fear a Day whose evil is spread; 7 they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: 8 'We feed you only for the Face of God; we desire no recompense from you, no thankfulness; 9 Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful." 10 Wherefore Allah shall preserve them from the evil of that Day, and shall cause them to meet brightness and joy. 11 And reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk, 12 Reclining therein upon couches, they will find there neither (heat of) a sun nor bitter cold. 13 The shades of the garden will be closely spread over them and it will be easy for them to reach the fruits. 14 And they will be waited upon with vessels of silver and goblets that will [seem to] be crystal 15 Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. 16 And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger, 17 A spring there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ And immortal youths will wait upon them: when thou seest them, thou wouldst deem them to be scattered pearls; 19 If you were to see it, you would find it to be a great kingdom with great bounty. 20 Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink. 21 (And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted." 22
