The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing? 1 We have created the human from a (sperm) drop, a mixture, testing him; We made him to hear and see. 2 We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 We have indeed kept prepared chains, and shackles and a blazing fire for the disbelievers. 4 Surely the devotees will drink cups flavoured with palm blossoms 5 A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allah will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance]. 6 (Because) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide-spreading, 7 And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him, 8 They say to them, “We give you food, only for the sake of Allah we do not seek any reward or thanks from you.” 9 we fear from our Lord a Day that shall be long and distressful.” 10 So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness 11 and will reward them for their steadfastness with Paradise and robes of silk. 12 Where they will recline on couches feeling neither heat of the sun nor intense cold. 13 The shades of the garden will be closely spread over them and it will be easy for them to reach the fruits. 14 and there shall be passed around them vessels of silver and goblets of crystal, 15 Crystal-clear, made of silver: they will determine the measure thereof (according to their wishes). 16 And they will be given to drink there of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Zanjabil,- 17 A spring there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls. 19 And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent. 20 Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and of brocades. And adorned they shall be with bracelets of silver: and their Lord shall give them drink a beverage pure. 21 This is your reward. Your endeavour is fully acknowledged. 22

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
