The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
HAS THERE [not] been an endless span of time before man [appeared - a time] when he was not yet a thing to be thought of? 1 Indeed We have created man from mixed semen; in order to test him We therefore made him hearing, knowing. 2 Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 For the Rejecters we have prepared chains, yokes, and a blazing Fire. 4 Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur, 5 This will be a gushing spring wherefrom Allah's servants shall drink wine, a spring from which they will take out channels wherever they wish. 6 The servants of God fulfill their vows and are afraid of the day in which there will be widespread terror. 7 they give food, despite their love for it, to the poor and orphans and captives, 8 saying, "We feed you for the sake of God alone, we seek neither recompense nor thanks from you. 9 We fear the dismal day calamitous from our Lord." 10 Wherefore Allah shall preserve them from the evil of that Day, and shall cause them to meet brightness and joy. 11 and recompensed them for their patience with a Garden, and silk; 12 They will recline therein on couches and they will find neither excessive heat nor cold. 13 And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruit thereof will hang low within their reach. 14 And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets which are of glass, 15 Crystal-clear, made of silver. They will determine the measure thereof according to their wishes. 16 There will they drink a cup flavoured with ginger 17 from a fountain called Salsabila. 18 ۞ And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. 19 wherever you look, you will see bliss and a great kingdom: 20 On their bodies will be garments of the finest green silk and brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give them a purest draught to drink. 21 [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." 22

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
