The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered? 1 We created the human being from the union of sperm and egg to test him. We gave him hearing and vision. 2 We surely showed him the way that he may either be grateful or deny. 3 Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. 4 The virtuous shall drink from a cup tempered with camphor water. 5 a fountain at which the worshipers of Allah drink and make it gush forth abundantly; 6 They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. 7 they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: 8 [Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. 9 We fear the dismal day calamitous from our Lord." 10 So Allah saved them from the evil of that day, and gave them freshness and joy. 11 And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk. 12 therein they shall recline upon couches, therein they shall see neither sun nor bitter cold; 13 since its [blissful] shades will come down low over them, and low will hang down its clusters of fruit, most easy to reach. 14 And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and cups of crystal, 15 Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. 16 Therein they shall be served a cup flavoured with ginger, 17 [derived from] a source [to be found] therein, whose name is "Seek Thy Way". 18 ۞ And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. 19 Whitherto you look around, you will see an abundance of bliss and the glories of a great kingdom. 20 On their bodies will be garments of the finest green silk and brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give them a purest draught to drink. 21 (And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted." 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
