Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively. 23 So persevere with the command of your Lord and do not pay any heed to the wicked and the unbelieving, 24 and remember the name of your Lord, morning and evening; 25 And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer). 26 Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. 27 We created them, and We strengthened their joints, but, when We will, We shall indeed exchange their likes. 28 This surely is a reminder: Therefore whosoever desires may take the way to his Lord. 29 And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. 30 He maketh whom He will to enter His mercy, and for evil-doers hath prepared a painful doom. 31
