Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively. 23 So wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and do not yield to anyone among them who is sinful or ungrateful; 24 And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. 25 and during the night prostrate ourself before Him, and extol His glory for a long part of the night. 26 Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day. 27 We have created them and have given them strength. Had We wanted, We could have replaced them with another people like them. 28 This surely is a reminder: Therefore whosoever desires may take the way to his Lord. 29 But your willing shall be of no avail until Allah Himself so wills. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, Most Wise. 30 He maketh whom He will to enter His mercy, and for evil-doers hath prepared a painful doom. 31
