Indeed We have sent down the Qur’an upon you, in stages. 23 so be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and obey not one of them, sinner or unbeliever. 24 And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. 25 and prostrate yourself before Him at night, and extol His Glory during the long watches of the night. 26 Verily they love (the good of this world) that is hastily obtainable and are oblivious of the burdensome Day ahead of them. 27 We have created them and have given them strength. Had We wanted, We could have replaced them with another people like them. 28 This is indeed an advice; so whoever wishes may take the path towards his Lord. 29 But you cannot will, unless Allah wills. Verily, Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise. 30 He is Merciful to whom He will; but, for the harmdoers He has prepared for them a painful punishment. 31
