Al-Insan 2 of 2
Indeed We have sent down the Qur’an upon you, in stages. 23 Therefore be patient (O Muhammad SAW) and submit to the Command of your Lord (Allah, by doing your duty to Him and by conveying His Message to mankind), and obey neither a sinner nor a disbeliever among them. 24 Remember the name of thy Lord at morn and evening. 25 and prostrate yourself before Him at night, and extol His Glory during the long watches of the night. 26 Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day. 27 It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement. 28 This is indeed an advice; so whoever wishes may take the path towards his Lord. 29 Yet you will not unless Allah wills; surely, Allah is the Knower, the Wise. 30 He admits whosoever He will to His benevolence. But for the evil-doers He has prepared a painful punishment. 31
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
