VERILY, [O believer,] it is We who have bestowed from on high this Qur'an upon thee, step by step - truly a bestowal from on high! 23 Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them. 24 Mention the Name of your Lord, mornings and evenings. 25 and prostrate yourself before Him at night, and extol His Glory during the long watches of the night. 26 Indeed these people love what they have, the fleeting one, and have forsaken the immensely important day behind them. 27 We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration. 28 Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way. 29 And ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Verily Allah is ever Knowing, Wise. 30 He admits whosoever He will to His benevolence. But for the evil-doers He has prepared a painful punishment. 31
