Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till a limit known? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
