Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
