Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
