50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those that strike violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
