Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
