Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
