Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
