Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
