Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
