Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
