Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
