Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
