Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
