Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
