Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
