Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
