Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
