Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
